Frequently Asked Questions

What if I get ink on PalletGel?
You can use an on-press cleaner such as Easiway 842 and a scrub pad or cloth to clean ink off of PalletGel without damaging the PalletGel. It's good to only apply the on-press cleaner to the areas where ink has gotten on the PalletGel.

Do I need to put paper pallet tape on my pallets before applying PalletGel?
No, PalletGel is designed to stick directly to your pallets. It will peel cleanly months later when you remove it. In fact, paper pallet tape has moisture in it that will evaporate over time causing bubbles to form under a gel adhesive. PalletGel will work much better if it is applied directly to a clean/dry pallet.

How long does PalletGel last?
About 100,000 impressions!d

Do I need to tape down the edges of PalletGel?
Taping down all four sides of PalletGel with masking tape will help the shirts to slide on/off of the pallets easily. Without masking tape, shirts can tend to snag the PalletGel when they're being loaded onto the pallets. Taping down all four sides of the PalletGel will also help to ensure PalletGel doesn't lift over time.

What temperature does PalletGel change colors?
PalletGel turns yellow when the pallets are heated to 120F. It turns green when cooled below 120F.

What if my pallets get too hot?
PalletGel is designed to withstand hot pallet temperatures.

How does PalletGel work with fleece?
Depending on the fleece, you can expect to clean the lint off of PalletGel every three or four rounds. One helpful tip is to keep the pallets as hot as possible and use just a light spray of water to remove the lint when printing fleece. This allows the PalletGel to dry quickly enough that you can immediately load the next fleece onto the PalletGel without having to stop printing to wait for it to dry.

How do I clean lint off of PalletGel?
Just water and a scrub pad! There is no need for chemicals.

Does PalletGel come in multiple tack levels?
PalletGel has a proprietary, soft/tacky adhesive that allows it to work well with all garment types from thin tees to fleece. This allows one version of PalletGel to work with all of your garments.

Does PalletGel come in multiple sizes?
PalletGel is only available in 15.5"X21" sheets. However, it is easy to trim down to smaller sizes with scissors or a box knife. One helpful tip is to trim the PalletGel before it has been applied to the pallets. With both release liners on the PalletGel, it is much easier to trim.
